ALT Advisory’s Michael Power briefed the 39th Meeting of the 64th Session of the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (CESCR64) on access to the internet during the initial review of the South African Government. ALT Advisory represented the Association for Progressive Communications, Media Monitoring Africa, and the Right2Know Campaign in preparing written and oral submissions to CESCR64, which focused on the potential of the internet as an enabler of social, economic, and cultural rights.
