ABOUT S’LINDILE.

  • S’lindile Khumalo is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa specialising in public law and information rights, with an interest in constitutional law, international law and development, online harms reduction, and equality and non-discrimination. She has extensive experience drafting research reports on gender equality, particularly in the digital era, and contributing to policy development relating to gender-based violence and children’s rights. S’lindile has supported clients ranging from an international humanitarian agency to a multinational, technology company, reflecting her skills in advising actors with divergent needs and perspectives.

    S’lindile holds an LL.B. degree (with distinction) and a postgraduate certificate in Human Rights Advocacy and Litigation from the University of Witwatersrand. In 2024, she began her LL.M. in Multidisciplinary Human Rights at the University of Pretoria’s Centre for Human Rights. She also acts as a Senior Associate at Power & Associates Inc (2021-). S’lindile’s background is in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and public law. Prior to joining ALT Advisory, S’lindile completed her articles at an internationally recognised commercial law and leading intellectual property law firm (2018–19), and was subsequently appointed as an Associate (Designate) (2020) at the same firm.

    • Forms part of the team conducting a gender programmatic review for the South African Country Office of an international humanitarian agency.
    • Developing an online resource that maps out the state of affairs on gender-based violence, both on- and offline, and to identify the legislative and policy gaps in African states.
