Invitation: Launch of endgbv.africa
ALT Advisory invites you to a virtual launch of endgbv.africa, a new web resource on the steps taken by different African states to protect women from GBV during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The site unpacks anti-GBV law and policy in five Southern African countries: Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The aim is to expand the research to include information on all countries on the continent in accessible language for gender activists, civil society actors, and survivors.
The event will include a live demonstration of the portal, and a discussion with human rights lawyers and gender activists on the ongoing challenges in the region for developing meaningful protections for people experiencing gender-based violence, both on- and offline.
