Deadline for submissions on the Critical Infrastructure Protection Bill
The Critical Infrastructure Protection Bill is open for public comment until 1pm on Friday, 24 November 2017. The Bill, which will replace the National Key Points Act 102 of 1980, provides for infrastructure to be identified and declared as ‘critical infrastructure’. It further provides for measures to be put in place for the protection, safeguarding and resilience of critical infrastructure, as well as the proposed guidelines and factors to be taken into account in respect of transparency.
