South Africa to host ITU Telecom World in September
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a specialised agency of the United Nations that is responsible for issues regarding information and communication technologies (ICTs). Annually, ITU Telecom – part of the broader ITU structure – organises ITU Telecom World, which aims at providing a not-for-profit neutral platform to accelerate ICT innovation for social and economic development through exhibitions, knowledge-sharing and networking.
This year, South Africa will be the first African country to host ITU Telecom World. It is being organised by the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services, and will be held from 10-13 September 2018 at the International Convention Centre in Durban.
More information is accessible here; registration is now open and is accessible here. National students of South Africa can attend the exhibition free of charge.
