Call for nominations: Media Development and Diversity Agency
A call for nominations has been issued to fill four vacancies of non-executive members to the Board of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA).
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 6 July 2018 at 16h00. Nominations must be addressed in writing to:

The MDDA, established in terms of section 4 of the Media Development and Diversity Agency Act 14 of 2002, was created to enable historically disadvantaged communities and persons to gain access to the media. Its beneficiaries are primarily community and small commercial media.
As set out in the call for nominations, a member of the MDDA Board must be:
- Committed to fairness, freedom of expression, openness and accountability;
- Representative of a broad cross-section of the population of the Republic and in possession of suitable qualifications, expertise and experience; and
- A South African citizen permanently residing in South Africa.
Nominations must contain at least the following information: (i) the full name and address of the institution and/or individual making the nomination; (ii) the nominee’s signed acceptance of the nomination; (iii) the nominee’s curriculum vitae (including the nominee’s full name, identity number, gender, contact details and previous experience); and (iv) certified copies of the nominee’s academic qualifications and identity document.
