Call for Comment: ICASA invites public submissions on its spectrum inquiry
On 30 September 2021, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa published a notice inviting public submissions for its on inquiry the implementation of the South Africa’s radio frequency migration plan and the International Mobile Telecommunications Roadmap.
Specifically, ICASA invites interested parties to give input on how they use specific frequency bands, and how they would be affected if the frequency band was reallocated.
The deadline for submissions is 16h00 on 3 December 2021. According to the notice, stakeholders can submit questions and requests for clarity to ICASA by 15 October, which the Authority will address in a briefing note by 1 November 2021.
ICASA says it will publish non-confidential submissions on its website on 7 December 2021.
